Set sail on the Ohana -- a 65-foot maxi-catamaran -- and head down the west coast of Tahiti. The Ohana is the largest and fastest catamaran of its class in Tahitian waters, and offers plenty of shaded seating under the canopy. Sun-seekers can relax on the two large nets located in the bow. Feel the sea spray on your face as the boat slices along the barrier reef. Watch for spinner dolphins, frequently seen in the area. On the south shore of Taapuna Passage, keep an eye out for local and international surfers hanging ten and catching waves.
The captain will drop anchor in clear waters inside the lagoon, where you will have plenty of time to enjoy a swim and snorkel. Gear is provided. Access to the water is by way of a large, easy stepladder. Towel off and settle in on the catamaran deck and nets.
Kick back, unwind and enjoy a refreshment as you sail through turquoise waters on the way home.
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. To participate in water activities, you must be a competent swimmer and able to cope with occasional currents. Depth of water is not guaranteed, due to currents and sea level variation. Itinerary is weather-dependent. Do not touch or step on the coral reef, or touch any underwater animals for safety and environmental reasons. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. You must remove your shoes to board the catamaran. Sailing on board a boat requires vigilance; guests must be physically and mentally alert to the boating environment and fit enough to negotiate steps and the vessel layout. Access to the restroom is available via a straight ladder. Mask and snorkel provided. Swim at your own risk. There will be an approximately 400-yard walk to reach the boat from the pier.
