Enjoy a panoramic drive through Busan on your way to Nurimaru APEC House, built specifically for the 2005 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit, where the leaders of the 21 member nations met to discuss trade and commerce throughout the Asia-Pacific region. In harmony with the exquisite scenery of Dongbaek Island, the building overlooks Haeundae Beach and the beautiful landscape surrounding the Gwangan Bridge. Don't miss the traditional Korean pavilion with a modern architectural touch.
Korea's UN Memorial Cemetery honors fallen United Nations soldiers and aides killed in battle during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. It is the only United Nations Cemetery in the World. This serene park sprawls across a grassy plain, with memorial sites including the Wall of Remembrance, Memorial Service Hall, and the Unknown Soldiers Pathway. It is a beautiful tribute to the 40,000 who lost their lives in the name of freedom.
In complete contrast, Jagalchi Market, the local fish market, is full of warmth, bustle and character typical of Busan. The largest fish market in the Southeast region, it sells a full range of seafood, including the fresh catches of the day and quality dried fish at excellent prices. Explore the stalls with your guide.
Please note:
Wear comfortable closed-toe walking shoes. The main building of Jagalchi Fish Market is closed on the first and third Tuesday of each month; the other buildings remain open to visit.
