Faq Question: What is the Expedition team’s job/role?
Faq Answer: To connect the guests to each day, destination, and experience through expert interpretation and casual conversations. They will guide walks/hikes/tours, drive the zodiacs, escort any coach tours and hikes with local guides. They also plan all the expedition activities, offer conversations (lectures), guide kayak tours, present daily recaps & briefings. In between excursions they also socialize and mingle with guests, host dinners, spend time on deck (helping to spot wildlife), and answer some navigation Q&A along the way.

Faq Question: How strenuous are the activities?
Faq Answer: Most itineraries can offer short walks, Zodiac cruises, and shore excursions that are suitable for almost all abilities. Kayaks and some hikes might require some higher level of fitness but are not planned to be overly strenuous. Whenever strenuous options are offered, there will be a less rigorous option available as well. All planned excursions and activity levels will be discussed ahead of time during the evening recap & briefing.

Faq Question: What is an included expedition?
Faq Answer: Zodiac cruises, Zodiac landings, nature hikes, snorkeling, and cultural experiences are included with your expedition and led by members of the Expedition team. Time and duration will be communicated to you onboard. You do not need to sign up in advance, just show up and join the expedition.

Faq Answer: These tours are available to all guests and are included with your expedition. They are operated by a third-party vendor (a member of the expedition team will accompany your tour to add additional value). Guests are encouraged to sign up for these tours in advance, as they have a limited capacity and your first choice may fill up.

Faq Answer: Seabourn has a dedicated department assisting solo travelers, couples, and small groups with expert private touring arrangements. Our team, both onshore and onboard, can organize a personalized tour just for you. For custom requests pre-cruise, reach out to one of our Destination Specialists at 800-984-3225 or +1 206-626-9187. Operating hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Pacific Time).

Faq Answer: It is customary to provide gratuities to local tour guides, drivers, and other tour operator staff members. These gratuities are not included in Seabourn tour prices.

Faq Question: Waitlist for Unavailable Excursions
Faq Answer: If an excursion is unavailable, guests are encouraged to waitlist for it. Our shore-side teams monitor sales and collaborate with tour providers to add more space or additional departures where feasible. They will also be delighted to discuss any alternative tour options.

Faq Answer: Part of our Journey Collection, these are overnight experiences that can be enjoyed before, after or part-way through your cruise. They are multi-day trips that include transportation, hotel stays, and most meals.
