Taronga Zoo is our leading zoo with Australia's finest collection of native animals and a diverse collection of exotic species. Magnificently located on elevated land along the waterfront, on one of Sydney Harbour’s most beautiful vantage points overlooking Sydney Cove, the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Start your Zoo tour from the top entrance. That way you'll be walking downhill facing the harbour. As you zigzag your way along the paths among the animal enclosures, you’ll enjoy magnificent harbour views. A local guide will make suggestions or provide assistance when required.
Please note:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
