Travel through the Arctic landscape while being pulled by a team of athletic and ambitious Alaskan huskies!
At the Husky Home you will receive a warm welcome by the boisterous Alaskan huskies excited to take you on an adventure! After a short introduction and safety briefing you will begin your dog-sled expedition into the Arctic landscape. This invigorating ride takes you through captivating winter scenery and gives you a chance to experience the life of a musher.
Back at the camp, meet these loving and energetic canines, learn about the equipment used for sledding and hear stories from those that have participated in dog-sledding races. You will also be treated to coffee brewed over an open fire before it’s time to say farewell to your new friends.
Please note: It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing and winter boots in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf. Ride will be bumpy. Pregnant women or guests with back or neck conditions are not allowed to participate. Walking covers approximately 100 meters over dirt/gravel terrain covered by ice and snow. Participants will switch positions (standing and sitting on the sled) midway through the ride.
