Josh Leibowitz serves as President of Seabourn, Carnival Corporation’s ultra-luxury brand. In this role, Josh has overall executive responsibility and leads all business and global operations for the award-winning luxury cruise line. He has held this position since June 2020.
Josh originally joined Seabourn’s parent company, Carnival Corporation & plc, in 2013 as chief strategy officer and was also named senior vice president, Cunard North America in December 2016.
Josh is an avid vacation defender and writes and speaks passionately about the need to take time in life to relax and recharge. Josh has spoken at major conferences including TEDx Coconut Grove, Adobe’s global marketing summit, and multiple travel and trade events and has led extensive consumer and trade research on making the most of vacation time.
Prior to joining Carnival Corporation & plc, he served as managing partner of the Miami office of the consulting firm McKinsey & Co., and as a leader in the firm’s work in advanced analytics and sales and marketing. Josh has worked extensively with leading luxury retailers, travel, and media companies on demand generation, customer experience and growth strategies. Before McKinsey, he held multiple operating roles. He was a Managing Director at idealab!, an innovation incubator that creates and operates pioneering technology companies, where he successfully led several e-commerce startups. Prior to that, he started and operated a wholesale and retail shoe business in Los Angeles.
Josh received an A.B. in economics from the University of Chicago, Phi Beta Kappa and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, with high Distinction, Baker Scholar. He previously served on the board of directors for Take Stock in Children, a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income students to escape the cycle of poverty through education and on the board of Florida Council of 100, a group of leading Florida-based CEOs advising the sitting governor on economic policy and growth.
