The Far North Region

The region of the Great Barrier Reef known as the Far North is offshore, from about Lizard Island northward to the Cape York Peninsula, the very tip of Australia. It is one of the least visited regions of the reef, with prolific coral and invertebrate life, and seasonally attracts breeding turtles.
