Embrace the coastal beauty and charm of Corsica during this half-day sightseeing excursion to Porto Vecchio.

En route, you'll learn about Corsica and its history. Porto Vecchio's natural harbor attracted the Genoese, who founded the town in 1539. Today, Porto Vecchio is a major economic and tourist hub. Its eclectic blend of old and new is highlighted by a modern marina attracting many impressive yachts, pleasure craft and fishing boats. This small town is filled with chic bars, restaurants and boutiques housed in charming old buildings.

Porto Vecchio's quaint Old Town consists of a small grid of cobblestone streets and a main square. The Place de la Republique is lined with restaurants and dominated by the Romanesque-style 19th-century St Jean Baptiste Church. Take a guided 45-minute walk along the ancient city walls, passing the Porte Génoise Gate. It frames wonderful panoramic views of the harbor, sea and surrounding mountains.

Your visit to Porto Vecchio concludes with some free time for independent exploration, and an opportunity to browse in the fashionable shops and boutiques.

Afterwards, re-board your coach for the 45-minute drive back to the pier.
