Exotic, colorful, breathless -- this is the Ginga Tropical Samba Show at the Leblon Theatre in Rio's Leblon district. Perhaps the most sophisticated neighborhood in the city, Leblon perfectly encapsulates all that is Rio de Janeiro.
Upon arrival at the theatre, enjoy a welcome Caipirinha beverage -- precursor to an extraordinary 90-minute Brazilian dance show that is exclusive to Seabourn guests. This is your chance to learn about Brazil's vibrant history and culture, influenced by many nationalities, through lively, beaty traditional music and dance. Talented performers dance the Lambada, the Samba and the Bossa Nova. They are dressed in outrageous Carnival costumes that are a synthesis of color, texture and skin. Hear folklore from around the diverse country, drumming, and the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira.
The show is loud, the beat is strong, and the costumes are daring -- perfect for those looking for riotous color and an unrestrained representation of local culture.
Please note:
The theater's ground floor is completely wheelchair accessible. There are 15 steps to reach the mezzanine. Tour operates subject to meeting a minimum number of participants.
