Step into the intimate world of Mónica Zurita, a gifted Ecuadorian artist whose home in La Puntilla—one of Guayaquil’s most exclusive residential neighborhoods—offers a rare and enriching experience. More than a residence, her home is a living gallery, filled with stories, inspiration, and the vibrant energy of artistic expression.
In 2009, while still a devoted homemaker, Mónica discovered her passion for art through the use of cabuya, a natural fiber. What began as a quiet hobby in a modest home workshop blossomed into a profound vocation. Her works—featuring human silhouettes, horses, geometric motifs, and natural elements—have since been exhibited across Guayaquil and beyond, earning her recognition for her unique style and heartfelt creativity.
Upon arrival, Mónica warmly welcomes you into her home, where she shares her personal journey, creative process, and a private collection of cherished family art pieces, each with its own story and emotional resonance. You’ll explore her studio and gallery space, gaining insight into her current projects and the techniques she uses to bring her visions to life.
This experience is more than a tour—it’s a meaningful connection. Mónica’s openness and passion make every moment memorable, especially as you sit down with her for tea and light refreshments, enjoying thoughtful conversation in a setting that radiates warmth and inspiration.
After this intimate and inspiring visit, return to the ship with a deeper appreciation for art, personal expression, and the transformative power of creativity.
