Cruising the Thames River

Departing from the floating mooring, your ship will follow the historic Thames Estuary past the park and domed Royal Observatory at Greenwich and through a series of sinuous curves toward the North Sea. The shining half domes of the Thames Barrier can be raised to create a seawall protecting London from tidal surges. Your Expedition Team members will be on deck and in lounges to interpret the passing scenery. This is one of Europe’s busiest and most historic waterways, with over 760 known shipwrecks and a dizzying array of lights and signals.
