Ocho Rios, Jamaica

When asked by Queen Isabella to describe the island of Jamaica, Christopher Columbus crumpled a piece of paper and laid it on the table to indicate the many rugged mountains which made the island so difficult to explore. These same peaks now produce the justly-famous Blue Mountain coffee beans for which Jamaica is noted. Weather that is just about perfect, coupled with inviting white beaches and brilliantly colored flowers and birds combine to make Jamaica a delightful bit of paradise.
