Scenic cruising Aialik Glacier

Aialik Bay is one of the numerous fjord valleys in the Kenai Fjords National Park south of Seward in south central Alaska. The largest glacier in the bay is Aialik Glacier, which is a fairly stable glacier flowing from the Harding Icefield, which covers nearly 51 percent of the park. Depending on the ice conditions in the bay, your captain will brig your ship as close as possible to this glacier’s tall face, which occasionally calves massive icebergs into the bay with a sound like thunder.
