Naturalist and historian Jeff Budd has resided in Southeast Alaska, Sitka and Ketchikan, for 40 years. His background includes working for non-profit organizations, holding the post of director for the Greater Sitka Arts Council, and contracting for the Sitka Historical Society.
 

Jeff's travels include: an around-the-world trip to the deepest canyon on each continent; a through hike of the Pacific Crest Trail; kayaking, source to sea, on the Yukon River; and three separate coast-to-coast and border-to-border bicycle trips. Jeff also spent three months learning to be a dog handler with Iditarod veteran Lynda Plettner.
