Located on Jamaica’s north shore midway between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, Falmouth is noted as one of the best preserved Georgian towns in the Caribbean, with a wealth of historic buildings including the Falmouth Courthouse, St. Peter’s Anglican Church, the Falmouth All-Age School and Greenwood Great House. Other popular North Shore attractions are easily accessed, including the Dunn’s River Falls and the Martha Brae River rafting excursions. The world-class Olympic sprinters Usain Bolt and Ben Johnson are both Falmouth natives. The 18th century sugar plantation Good Hope Estate is also an interesting site.
