A panoramic drive brings you to the MARQ Museum -- the first bona fide archaeological museum of the 21st century, offering visitors an insight into the various tools and techniques associated with archaeology. These are explained in three galleries -- Field Archaeology, Urban Archaeology and Underwater Archaeology. An expert docent interprets the splendid collection of classified and catalogued finds. Dioramas, audio-visual presentations and interactive exhibits bring archaeology to life an attractive and didactic way.
Take photos of the stately Santa Barbara Castle, located in the center of Alicante.
In the Old Town, set out on a walking tour with a visit to the Fogueres Museum. This unusual facility is dedicated to Alicante's most popular festivals. Photos, traditional costumes, statues, floats, utterly captivating works of art and brilliant advertising posters fire the imagination and colorfully represent the various festivities. It is an unforgettable foray down the rabbit-hole of the creators' wildest dreams.
Please note: Tour does not operate on Mondays. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
