The Aeolian islands were already known to the first Phoenician navigators and to the Greek colonizers, with numerous archaeological finds of wine amphora (two-handle storage jars) that have been part of this culture since ancient times.
The organic wines of Tenuta di Castellaro are born from the healthiest and oldest native vines of these Islands. The soil and climate conditions of Lipari are perfect for creating favorable conditions for organic cultivation and the volcanic soil is particularly rich in minerals.
The Castellaro Experience is recommended for wine lovers. Take a short flight of stairs, our use the elevator to reach the winemaking and barrique cellars. Enjoy discovering the scents and flavors of this territory with the tasting of 4 glasses of wine with gastronomic parings. During the guided tour of the wine cellar and an enjoyable walk around the vineyard you will learn about the birth of this interesting agronomic wine project, the construction phases of the barrel cellar and much more.
