From the pier, transfer to the former End of the World Prison -- now an interesting museum. During your visit you will learn about the first inhabitants of Ushuaia -- the men considered to be the most dangerous prisoners in Argentina. These prisoners worked in the fields of the cold province of Tierra del Fuego.

Next, you'll head to the Tierra del Fuego Southern Railway station and enjoy a local snack of alfajores and hot chocolate or coffee. Then, hop aboard the train for a ride on the narrow-gauge End of the World Railroad, built and used by the inmates of the penal settlement. It operated in its original capacity until 1947. The train crosses the Pipo River and the Canadon del Toro, and heads into Tierra del Fuego National Park.

You'll leave the train here and continue by coach to Ensenada Bay. This is the perfect spot to snap photos of the Beagle Channel and beyond, before returning to Ushuaia.

Please note: It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing and comfortable shoes in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Operates subject to meeting a minimum number of participants. Tour does not operate on holidays.
